SUMMARY:A visit to the Living Fountain Orphanage
DESCRIPTION:July 17\, 2021\, was indeed a memorable date for us at the Bernadette Eyisi Foundation (BEF). It was our first opportunity of going for an engagement in company of some of the grandchildren of our Founder and this time our port of call was the Living Fountain Orphanage\, located at Plot 22\, Yesufu Abiodun Way\, Oniru\, Victoria Island Lagos. \nLiving Fountain Orphanage is a non-governmental\, non-profit organization established in 2007. Presently\, it houses a total of 16 children\, the oldest of whom is just 13 years old. These are made up of motherless and abandoned babies as well as children of the under-privileged and the poorest of the poor in the society. \nThe children are sheltered\, fed and trained morally and educationally till they are adopted by foster parents or they attain such an age that they could become independent and cater for themselves in the outer society. \nWe were welcomed with a heart-warming song of gratitude by the children who were totally overwhelmed with joy for our visit and the little token we brought to them. \nAfter spending some time with them and being enlightened about some of their activities\, we left with three unforgettable lessons imprinted on our hearts: – \n\nAlways cherish our parents and family.\nEverybody\, especially the younger ones\, should endeavour to use our belongings prudently.\nWe should always find ways to share what we have with those who have none.\n\nBelow are some pictures from the visit;

SUMMARY:BEF marks love-month with a special charity home in Lagos
DESCRIPTION:To mark St Valentine’s Month (February)\, we at the Bernadette Eyisi Foundation (BEF)\, decided to join in spreading the message of concern for others\, especially the less privileged in our midst\, with a visit to the soul-stiring home of the Missionaries of Charity (the very exemplary daughters of Mother Theresa) located at 117\, Demurin Street\, Alapere\, Ketu\, Lagos on the 11th of February\, 2020. \nThis Charity home houses up to 70 abandoned children with a large number of them are down with very severe health challenges like Cerebral Palsy\, Down Syndrome\, Paralysis\, etc. A fewer percentage are physically and mentally well but are awaiting adoption by caring parents and organizations. \nThe home is managed by Reverend Sisters\, with Sister Louis as their head. \nIn spite of their grave challenges\, the children and the Sisters welcomed us with much excitement and enthusiasm. Sister Louis took us on a tour of the building to showcase the different activities the children engage in. We thereafter presented our widows mite to them. \nWe strongly recommend a visit to this very heart-touching Home by all (able bodied and non-able bodied; healthy and non-healthy). Apart from the fact that the residents could do with ANY support they could get from anyone\, no matter how little\, such a visit could offer a lot of benefits to our souls and sense of gratitude for whatever state we may find ourselves at any point in time! \nAll told\, we are very grateful to God and the inimitable Missionaries of Charity for the opportunity given us to undertake this Love-Month’s visit

SUMMARY:A special way to mark a special birthday!
DESCRIPTION:31st December\, 2018 was a very special day for the Founder of our Foundation\, the inimitable Barr (Mrs) Bernadette Eyisi. It was the day she celebrated her 60th birthday. But the day was made more remarkable by the very humanitarian way she marked it; especially by sharing her blessings with the needy at the Trinitarian Foundation facilities\, Neni\, Anambra State. \nIn the company of many members of her family\, both from within and outside Nigeria\, she spent much of the day with the children of the Orphanage\, regaling them with such entertainment and other goodies that they might not have witnessed before. Members of the Trinitarian Foundation present at the event were so overwhelmed by the exceptional gesture of the Celebrant that they virtually could not stop praying for more God’s grace and good health upon her life. \nFor all who witnessed the special occasion\, it will always be a day to remember and a very special way to mark a very special birthday! \nWe join others in\, again\, wishing our benefactor a happy birthday!

DESCRIPTION:There was an overflow of emotions on March 23\, 2018\, when the Bernadette Eyisi Foundation visited the Bethesda Home for the Blind in Lagos\, a non-profit\, sponsor-supported full boarding Home with 126 blind people in the residence. They were very exhilarated on learning about our presence and they gladly led us to their music room where\, in elevated spirits\, they thanked God for His enormous blessings. \nAfter interacting with some of them\, we presented our widow’s mite to them and departed with a lesson that we should put some gratitude into our attitude because there is always something to be thankful for.
