BEF Touches The Life Of Another Family
In our continuous but very modest quest of ‘Touching Lives In Little Ways’, the life and fortunes of another family is about to witness a ‘little’ uplift.
Mrs Chidi Bibian Nweke, an indigene of Anambra State, is the latest beneficiary of one of our ongoing Women Empowerment Schemes. Since her husband’s visual incapacitation in 2013 she has been the sole breadwinner of the entire family with her meager petty trading business.
With a set of growing child and ever increasing medical costs, arising mainly on account of her husband’s blindness, the future of the family looked completely bleak. It was this situation and her cry for help that made her story to reach us at the Bernadette Eyisi Foundation (BEF).
If we gave her money for School Fees and Medical Bills her problem could only have been postponed for about three months, at the best. Thus we decided to help her catch more fish, so that she may not have to depend on anybody again for the needs of her family!
We thank God that we were able to immediately set her on the path of financial independence by providing her with a large quantities of all the items needed for a larger-scale production of her Sobo, Soya-Milk and Kunu drinks.
We are delighted to report that, even as we speak, ‘Levels don begin change’ for Mrs Bibian Nweke and her family! We only pray that she utilizes this opportunity very well and that God won’t delay in blessing her efforts.
