It was an unfortunate day in September, 2020 for Chidindu Fortune Igwe as he came out with his siblings to play Football with their peer group in their compound at #15 Binikusi Street, Sano, Ogun State.

As the game was going on, a bottle among the dumped refuse being burnt within the compound exploded and part of it slashed into his stomach, ripping out all his intestine.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital. After hours of struggle to save his life, the doctors were able to stitch up and stabilize him. Thanks be to God!

However, the hospital bill of over N300,000 charged was too much for his father, Mr Oliver Igwe, who recently lost his wife, to pay.

The Bernadette Eyisi Foundation, on hearing of this pathetic story, offered Chidindu a little support of N100,000.00 to help defray the expenses and also joins others in praying for his quick recovery.
