Safe Ride Programme-Better Safe Than Sorry

February 28

“Better to be Safe than Sorry” was the theme of the lecture organized by the Bernadette Eyisi Foundation for the members of the Okada Riders Association in Neni, Anambra State on the 30th day of November, 2017.  The lecture was deemed necessary to enlighten the riders as we approach the yuletide season.

In attendance were the Chairman of the Okada Riders Association, Mr. Livinus Ilogbenu; one of the guest speakers, Dr. Fabian Nwankwo; nurses; another guest speaker, Asst. Co. Commander Francis O. Eban and Crew from FRSC; the Vice President, Neni Town Union, Chief Uzo Ezie and many others.

The event started with a health examination of all in attendance, followed by a lecture on safety delivered by the FRSC Officer, after which the doctor crowned it up by educating everyone on health matters.

Other activities for the day were the presentation of branded reflective jackets to five Okada Riders for their promptness, a lucky dip during which phones and branded reflective jackets were given to the lucky winners and other gift items like stickers and LED keyholders were given to all that attended the event.

Everyone was exhilarated by the event and they thanked the Foundation for organizing such a timely programme that didn’t just enlighten them, but also reminded them of the importance of riding safely.
